Some things are meant to be forgotten, some to be recovered...
Quite some time ago a good colleague of ours told a story about a bunker that once stood under an administrative building in Soviet times, immediately we took action. Perhaps it was only the building that was demolished? Was the bunker intact?
Our search didn't take long before we uncovered the only point of entry - the evacuation tunnel hidden by a manhole cover.
And so our journey begins, crawling through the evacuation tunnel:
Thrilled by our success, we move forward and open the doors of doom.
Well, it appears not much is left, whatever was, probably got destroyed by the water...
Good thing we came ready with long boots.
Despite the water, we venture forward:
What appears to be air filters.
Let's take a look what hides behind the uncommon vault-like doors.
Some miscellaneous rooms and a bathroom, not much.
Looks like someone ate too much chili.
Moving on to the other side of the bunker:
"It's all up to safety standards"
To wrap it all up, the reason for all the flooding. They put a drainage cover where the staircase once stood:
Well, that was one of the more unique adventures out there, not everyday you find a bunker under a parking lot of a market.
